How does one sell oneself, when inevitably everyone expects one to do so each time they speak about their accomplishments or capabilities? I have never been great at selling myself, and needless to say I am not really that humble where I do not recognize my own strengths. I do feel though that in design what you put out speaks to what you can do. If you do not constantly push yourself, and your boundaries then you cannot say that you are creative.
Creativity is in essence, a maturation of a natural and learned skill. One that I have learned over time I possess to some extent. I do not crave the attention of work that is shocking or that is to "out there", and my experience, through my degree in economics, and time at work I have learned that creativity is best suited when you can meet practicality, professionalism and an image that does not offend.
My work is not polarizing or cluttered. I would rather convey more with less and allow the users eye to glide across a page with ease absorbing what needs to be. Everything I put out must look good to me and I work to achieve a design that I am comfortable with and one that you will be proud to use anywhere.
Simplicity in design leads to efficiency in execution.
